Bryan Ferry's version of this song, (written by Wilbert Harrison) features a different lyric to the original (and also the Canned Heat version). Is it correct to assume that BF re-wrote the lyrics himself? |

Wilbert Harrison released LST in 1962 without much success. He then reworked his own song in 1969 into Lets's Work Together and released it again which then also went on to be covered by Canned Heat. Bryan Ferry's version is a straight cover of the 1962 Harrison original. https://youtu.be/R_FMnMQga2E
