Released on 5 October 1973 , and my first Ferry purchase , it’s definitely worth a listen to all these years later.
I was an impressionable adolescent then and my present day me is even more in awe of the creative output that Ferry delivered in 1973, two classic and very different Roxy Music albums and a slew of cover versions that introduced me , as many others, to a wide range of earlier talents, brought up to date with a modern take on doo wop and Ferry’s unique vocal style.
He was brave then, and widely criticised for it at the time, but it was his party.
As for A Hard Rain’s film, well he and the Angelettes nailed it.

Mes Amis,
avalon_eyes is so correct.
The defining moment in our hero's career when he bravely shared his eclectic taste.
W2 remembers it oh so well. It was and remains a fabulous LP that succeeded in both entertaining and educating.
Fabulous stuff.
Salutations a tous,
Windswept
