I really love the ferry/manzanera remix BF Bass would have made a great Roxy Music album opening track to set the mood for the rest of the album, sort of like what The Thrill of it all does for Country Life,if this had ever materialized into a Roxy album. Even Song to the Siren cover would have fitted in well, and Kate Moss on the cover tying it up rather neatly. There is so much lovely sonic detail on this album and I hope it inspires Ferry to forget about his notorious writers block and get productive again, 5 more years til he hits 70 then he can retire..the more I listen to Olympia the more I discover..The whale singing on Song to the siren (does it get a sleeve credit?) awesome! |
