Furloughed Ferryistas,

VivaVoce is determined to make our creative juices flow this festive season and W2 is delighted to participate with one caveat - he refuses to leave out the incredible Jazz Age and Bittersweet albums. That would be sheer heresy.
Herewith the definitive selection :

These Foolish Things - These Foolish Things.
Another Time Another Place - Another Time Another Place
Let’s Stick Together - Casanova
In Your Mind - In Your Mind
The Bride Stripped Bare - Carrickfergus
Boys & Girls - Windswept
Bete Noire - Bete Noire
Taxi - All Tomorrow’s Parties
Mamouna - N.Y.C
As Time Goes By - As Time Goes By
Frantic - I Thought
Dylanesque - The Gates Of Eden
Olympia - Reason Or Rhyme
The Jazz Age - Just Like You
Avonmore - Johnny & Mary
Bittersweet - Boys & Girls

Best Original - The Only Face
Best Cover - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
Bonus Track - 2HB

Make that playlist and enjoy - you’ll never look back.

Salutations a tous et joyeux Noelle

Windswept

You have made a good call W2! I was very much in two minds about that and went the wrong way. Mea culpa!

Ok, VivaVoce, here we go again:

These Foolish Things – River Of Salt
Another Time Another Place – The ‘In’ Crowd
Let’s Stick Together – Heart On My Sleeve (or rather Casanova?)
In Your Mind – All Night Operator (or Party Doll?)
The Bride Stripped Bare – What Goes On
Boys & Girls – Don’t Stop The Dance
Bete Noire – Kiss And Tell (or should I choose Limbo?)
Taxi – None
Mamouna - Mamouna
As Time Goes By – Miss Otis Regrets
Frantic – One Way Love
Dylanesque – Simple Twist Of Fate
Olympia – Song To The Siren
The Jazz Age – Do The Strand (because I’d never thought that it could work)
Avonmore – Driving Me Wild
Bitter Sweet – Bitter Sweet (because of its Kurt Weill flair)

Best Original – New Town (because it sounds very Roxyesque)
Best Cover – A Hard Rain’s … (or should it be Funny How Time Slips Away ??)
Best B-Side/Bonus Track – As The World Turns (by far)

A Merry Christmas to all Viva! Roxy Music members throughout the world - stay safe. And thanks to John for running this site (@John: I haven't forgotten She Sells ;) )

This one will be tougher but here goes:

These Foolish Things - Hard Rain (just from the title track)
ATAP - The In Crowd
Let’s Stick Together - Let’s Stick Together
In Your Mind - Love me Madly
The Bride Stripped Bare - When She Walks in the Room
Boys and Girls - Boys and Girls (tough choice)
Bete Noire - Kiss and Tell
Taxi - Answer Me
Mamourna - Chain Reaction
As Time Goes By - September Song
Frantic - I Thought
Dylanesque - Baby Let me Follow you Down
Olympia - Reason or Rhyme
The Jazz Years - This Island Earth
Avonmore - Avonmore
Bitter Sweet - Boys and Girls

Best overall - I Thought (I have a playlist with Roxy and Roxy related tracks on inc. solo PM, Eno 801 etc. Every week I drop a few off and add a few on and the only two tracks never to have been circulated are If There is Something and I Thought)

Edit - forgot to add best cover. Difficult but I’ll go for Let’s Stick Together as it’s the only time you hear BF at parties (unless I’m in charge of the music...!!)

Cher VivaVoce,
You are providing so much pleasure, you are forgiven.
W2 loves them and couldn't see them omitted.
Particularly given that the 'Bitter Sweet' version of 'Boys & Girls' is better than the VO.
Salutations,
Windswept
