Who needs a signed copy anyway?
I’m more interested in how the lyrics are presented. We know the words already, but some notes on the context — Amazona, Triptych, The BoB, Mother of Pearl , San Simeon, Manifesto - and so on.

Dear Comrades/Afficionados/Connoisseurs,

I’m sorry to say that this leaves me slightly cold.

I’m desperate for meaningful product from the maestro, but it needs to involve music, or if a purely literary work then new news.

I know most of the lyrics already. Some of the earlier ones are fabulous in the context of the songs, but I can’t really picture myself lying in bed perusing the finer points of Tokyo Joe or If it takes all night.

It’s really a management ploy to wrestle a few bob out of the die-hards.

Sorry……..

There's no great harm in a "Lyrics Book" but in large part it is simply another way to Churn the Catalog and generate some cash inflow. I think VivaRoxyMusic/JO'B does a pretty nice job making all the various lyrics available with a few mouse clicks so this book is not something that will fill a gaping hole in the BF/Roxy Universe. But some people will enjoy it and that's OK!

Some of BF's lyrics are truly remarkable and hold up well on the written page or as spoken poetry (for example, "In Your Mind" comes to mind) but some of the later songs are not so compelling (e.g. "Fool for Love" or "Driving Me Wild")

So it goes...

Yes I noticed this the other day and was going to post about this.

I can understand the 2 tracks given to Frida & Roger Daltrey being omitted, but yet again the fabulous As The World Turns gets overlooked.

Also missing Broken Wings.
