Johnny Marr has recently said he'd been working with BF in lockdown.... new or not, I'm excited to hear what he's been up to. Hope this means a tour is on the horizon

This is a pleasant surprise. Will it hold up and what will it sound like ?
It won’t be jazz, I feel, and having read the very lively , recent thread on Olympia vs. Avonmore , I can feel the page turning towards something totally new , ie. no songs that have languished for a year or or two in the vaults.

Well we've been eagerly anticipating something based on occasional snippets but then - BAM! Out of the blue, so to speak. No conventional press release about the lead single of a new album - we get to hear something straight away.
Surprised and not a little excited!

I'm listening to Love Letters now. Sounds like a Taxi-Mamouna era groove - easy listening, I like it but it's certainly not breaking any new ground.
