Thanks for posting that, John. A really nice song me thinks. Could be an outtake from the Dylanesque sessions.

Young + Beautiful: A Lana del Rey cover?

BTW the whole 5 album set costs 35 Euros for the download at Apple iTunes. The jpc offer at only 129 Euros was only capable for a few hours.

MediaMarkt Germany offers it for 150 Euros and BF's site wants me to pay 130 Euros + 20 Euros customs fees and shipment. Sorry, Brexit wasn't my issue but I don't want to pay that much.

I understand that it is a carefully designed set of songs and a really well made book - but ...

Peter - I did initially pre-reorder on Amazon UK at £129.99 with a hope this price might drop between now and the release date (not uncommon in response to other discounters), but cancelled this in favour of the BF.com offerings. Maybe keep an eye on your Amazon service? If it's any consolation, Brexit wasn't the issue for 48.11% of us here in the UK either (in fact, as turnout was 72.21%, only 37.47% of those eligible to vote did so in favour!), so I feel your chagrin!

On a lighter note, yes, this is a welcome new track that certainly sounds as if it dates back to the Dylanesque sessions in all ways, not least BF's voice. I think I read at some point there were a few surplus tracks? It's nice that it's included on all formats. I'd be surprised if the five disc set gets an outing very often but the single disc version will be welcome in the car (for now - my rather old motor has a CD player but I doubt its replacement will).

'She Belongs To Me' is available as a download EP from today, with four other tracks included.

Thank you for your interesting post, Richard. I am still struggling with myself whether I should order it or not and maybe I am not the only one in this forum.

At the moment I must be afraid that I'll have to pay 150 € for the package. A lot of money for a retired person (in the meantime). But I will keep track concerning the offers ...

My car, an Opel (Vauxhall, too?) Adam is small but has a CD player. That was a prerequisite for the deal  . But mostly I listen to my USB mixes ...

Is it from the Dylanesque sessions? It sounds like a bit later to my ears but that could just be me.

I did hear too that there were left over songs from the Dylanesque sessions but I’m sure Bryan also said in an interview that he’d like to do another Dylan album.
This sounds like it was a bit later than the Dylanesque sessions and doesn’t have the same ‘feel’ that those sessions did.

The vocal and the imagery gives me the impression that this is from the Love Letters period.

Bryan's voice began to disappear clearly audible with "Johnny And Mary". So "She Belongs To Me" could be recorded sometime between 2014 and 2024. I like this song very much, BTW :) .

"Star" is obviously a brand new song (BF website) and "Young And Beautiful" is an instrumental track by the BF Orchestra with the well-known shellac sound (BF website playlist snippet).

‘Young and Beautiful’ previously released on ‘The Great Gatsby - The Jazz Recordings’. Soundtrack album by The Bryan Ferry Orchestra
