So Florist looks like being the next release taken from Loose Talk.
I notice this video is shown as being ‘unlisted’ so not sure if it was supposed to be made available yet and it’s just not been made private.

Unless I'm missing something, that seems to dispel any theory that the music on this album is drawn from earlier BF compositions. The music here complements AB's prose, rather beautifully.

I like it and hope that it grows even more on me ... It's the longest piece on 'Loose Talk' - So that has me wondering if it's the 'centrepiece' track that everything else spins around because the music is very stately.. with the recurring piano motif which usually draws me in. The bass playing and the organ sounds are also winners for me ... For me it has the feeling of a mid seventies movie - maybe John Schlesinger. Glenda Jackson's in there somewhere ... But... I'd like to hear AB use her voice in different ways - I'm worried that a whole album of her speaking like that about a collection of random 'cinematic' incidents might become too repetitive.

I have followed Bryan´s releases through the years and I feel sure that this backing music is new. I was to some extent intrigued already by first listening. -Best track from this album so far.

'Florist' has a wonderful, melancholy accompaniment and an artistically sophisticated video - I like the digital editing that resembles analogue camera techniques of the late 1960s.

Nice to watch Amelia read her poem out of a book. I also like it when her body seems to divide into many persons in this digital production. Yes, and I like the frequent use of the colour blue.

All in all the best from AB + BF so far ... but still I am no big fan of speech songs even when they are made out of high quality poems. A frequently sung chorus (not too loud, maybe only 'oohs' and/or 'aahs' would have helped - but that's my humble opinion ...).

I really like this one. Beautiful musical soundscape.
And the poem reading somehow reminds me of Annette Peacock's recitation in some of her songs.

That said, the current feature in 'Uncut' - discussed on a separate thread here - reveals the music originates from a plethora of cassettes within BF's studio archive. The oldest of these dates back to 1973 and forms the basis of the track 'White Noise'. BF seems particularly pleased that, through his collaboration with AB, he's found what he thinks is a perfect outlet for this piece, so it'll be interesting to hear.

Doubtless the music on these cassettes has been cleaned up and possibly augmented for this release - it'll be interesting to discover more about the journey from dusty cassette to 'Loose Talk' as more details emerge.
