Interesting article. The biggest revelation was that the source music for 'Loose Talk' comes from a collection of cassettes, or sketchbooks as BF the eternal artist also calls them. The oldest goes back to 1973 and is the basis of 'White Noise'. Features Alan Spenner on bass, recorded at Air Studios. BF seems particularly pleased that he has finally found a home for this piece, on 'Loose Talk'.

Elsewhere, BF talks about the promo films he has been working on for the album, and I'm struck by his comment that "we didn't do any good videos, really, except 'Let's Stick Together'.....It was left to the last minute: oh, someone better do the video." The impression I have here is that he's not just talking about his solo output but Roxy too and it's odd to think he believes that to be the case. True, there were never 'blockbuster' videos that were typical of the 80s, nor the sort of art-house stuff he's putting out now, but there were impressive pieces: 'Angel Eyes', 'Jealous Guy', 'Same Old Scene', 'Avalon' and 'More Than This' on the Roxy side; 'The Price Of Love', 'This Is Tomorrow', 'Slave To Love', all three from 'Bete Noire', 'I Put A Spell On You', 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow', 'Your Painted Smile' and 'Loop De Li' on the solo side. They all have much to commend them - I wonder why BF doesn't hold them in high regard?
