"Alphaville" is Record of the Week on Ken Bruce and Alex Lester shows on Radio 2.

Personally, I think "Heartache by Numbers" would have been a far better "single" release.

Nice that he's getting some belated airplay.Alphaville is released, according to the radio two website, on February 7th (during the roxy tour) so he can't promote it so it could go the way of the other singles from olympia.

Who knows, maybe they'll play Alphaville at the Roxy concerts. Last summer they started playing Let's Stick Together at Roxy gigs and LST is definitely a BF solo track (although TGPT played drums on the classic original recording of LST)

Being in The States, I didn't have to wonder about whether the upcoming Roxy gigs would be worth the time/energy/effort to attend given that I saw them in 2001 and 2003 and the set list hasn't changed much since (except that it has gotten shorter!).

I hope that they put on a good show and that everybody who bought tix comes away happy!

I can't see many more tours after this one , if any ! At this pace, they would be in their 70s, by the time they organised another one. So, a new set with a load of songs not performed before would be a great way to bow out. Things have got so bad that I would gladly accept songs from Olympia on the Roxy Tour instead of the usual suspects !

Alphaville is now on the 'b' list on radio two's playlist, so getting some airplay.
