My Wife and I met Bryan on Saturday night at Selfridges spent 5 mins having a chat with him and talked about new tour and his son Tara on drums found him to be very easy to talk too, but shy. He kept everything he said very low and didn't like the press one bit.
He seemed very uncomfortable with the fuss. He Photo with him and told the young girl who was pushing him to move on to the next person to slow down, he said to us take your time.
I also told him the Olympia album was the best so far, excellent songs.
Asked him to re look at a song I love, “As The World Turns”. This should have been heard by more people as it was a b side to "This Is Tomorrow"
He said Yeah will do forgot how good it was.
Also said why he didn’t look at doing an album of re worked Ferry songs, covers of his own songs.
That’s a great idea. He said, then stopped for a second and then said you know you may have something their.
Asked him what car he drives Audi A8 loves it. How Amanda ? she was good, waiting for him.
Asked going out for dinner? yes with friends in manchester Italian, spring gardens.
Thanked him for his time he kissed the wife and we left.
I am 52 years old met him 3 times still in owe of him a god
Never know may have Album of re work ferry songs yet.

Is BF taking this idea seriously?

Could the recent postings of Beauty Queen and WSWITR on soundcloud be his way of testing the waters and a clue to the way he is thinking?

When I first read the posting above, I imagined a lot of Bryan's back catalogue being re-worked in his current signature style, but maybe he is thinking along other lines i.e. re-doing his "standards" in different musical genre. That would be pretty interesting !

He's at his best with just a piano and nothing else to muddy the waters. The reworkings of The Only Face and A fool for Love were great
