I just came across this interview that I had never seen before:

Parts of that are as resonant today as 3 decades ago.
All the recent talk of Flesh+Blood on this site demands a full listen from the archives session.
Ps though , of course, the smoking dates it terribly.

Not too bad an interview.
Not sure why Flesh+Blood is disliked by so many. It's a bit smooth but there's still a load of great songs on it. I saw Roxy 3 times on that tour and all the songs sounded better live. Oh Yeah, Flesh+Blood, Over You, No Strange Delight, Running Wild, Same Old Scene, Rain and even My Only Love (before it was played to death live) are all great songs. Manifesto had a few good uns (Manifesto, Still falls the Rain, Stronger through the years and Spin me round) but it also had a few mediocres ( Angel Eyes, Dance Away , Aint That So) and a few duffs (Trash, My Litttle Girl and Cry Cry Cry) Avalon's great in parts . But it has its fair share of duffs !
