Yes indeedy! :D

No Newmark or Tara; will be interested to learn if this line-up was exclusive to Bucharest and the reasons for it...

Fingers crossed for more of TGPT at SB Empire in December.

It seems from the clips on youtube that Andy Newmark starts on drums but is then replaced by TGPT at some point while he plays percussion (to Thompson's right), might just be a temporary thing if Newmark is ill or injured, but could that explain the musicians scheduling problems for Manzanera's gig?

Tara wasn't at the Edinburgh gig either.
I did see Otis at that show, he passed me as I was walking in to the venue and also in the audience down the very front singing along to "Hold on i'm coming".

From looking at youtube clips of recent gigs, it appears that BF has gone back (at least temporarily) to a single drummer. And it is very interesting that TGPT suddenly appears and turns in a solid performance on Oh Yeah.

One thought is that (for some reason) Andy N can't make the the trip across the Atlantic for the US gigs and TGPT will take his place. And the appearance in Bucharest was to help smooth his entry into the touring band ensemble. Although BF doesn't appear to have any gigs in November that would have conflicted with PM's (now cancelled) gig with TGPT, it may be well be that the terms of the contract connecting TGPT to the BF tour preclude him from participating in any other gigs this fall. And BF has scheduled two London gigs in December that - if this line of reasoning is accurate - would logically mean that TGPT would be included in the London gigs.

But this is all supposition from the Peanut Gallery and who knows what will happen. But the fact that TGPT suddenly showed up in Bucharest is not something that transpired by chance.

I was surprised to see TGPT, and even more surprised that I was the only one cheering for him when introduced. It seems the audience (which was a bit thin on the ground) were more passing fans of thr hits than major players in Bryan fandom. No Bryan/Roxy t-shirts for example. The show was OK, but recent shows of both Bryan and Roxy have failed to wow me. I got the impression that the band were expecting more of an encore. Oliver in particular looked a bit confused when Bryan left the stage after Jealous Guy and the lights came up. I suspect Bryan thought that if Bucharest couldn't be bothered to turn out for him he couldn't be bothered to do an encore. Also heard from the sound guys that there were some shenanigans from the promoter which might also have influenced his decision re the encore.

The audience were so much better behaved than UK ones, and a million times better than the French, who are always badly behaved. And there was no hassle from security - no searches, no issues about taking photos, no problem rushing the stage. It was a breath of fresh air.

Now if we could only get Bryan to actually talk to his audience....

What do you mean by 'The audience were better behaved than the Uk ones? :o

At most of the earlier gigs this year Bryan suprised us all, by a bit of chat which was a real first. He even jokingly asked the audience if they were still there at one gig, when there was a noticeable lull in between him singing.
