We all know and love the one's he has covered, but, what one's would you like to hear him chant? Am kicking off with Bryan's cover of the late Clifford. T. Ward. "Gaye" . |

"Sisters of Mercy" (Leonard Cohen)- I think this would work best as just vocal and piano. And in the various Dylan covers, has he ever done "Tomorrow is A Long Time"? If not, he should! |

Good idea SB! Hey Bryan, if you read this, think about it! I'd like to hear Bryan do one of these Hank William's songs. "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OreFuVSByE "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHvLwacnGmQ "Your Cheatin' Heart" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hubUNqQLjN8 "Cold Cold Heart" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-Qmkp0kO3I Perfect for Bryan. Both men are hard-core, hard-lovin', romantics that write excellent songs for broken-hearted people like me, of which Bryan inspired me to sing and write songs. Thank-you Bryan for teaching me to sing Thanks for easing the pain, and nice to meet you Bryan! |

Yes definitely, I remember suggesting that song on a forum, maybe this one, a couple of years ago. It would suit his voice and phrasing perfectly. |

Nice thread SB! I would love to hear Bryan's take on these two, I don't know if his vocals are right for them, I just want to hear him sing them his way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-D_jFuUGzI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyKtRoGi ... re=related |

There are some nice suggestions above. However, like Bryan's output of covers to date, they gravitate towards the mid-70s or earlier. I would like to see him take on stuff from that period onwards - maybe even tipping his hat at some of the acts who cite Roxy as a major influence. There is plenty of good material out there for him to choose from and I am not worried about him finding songs to suit his voice. He has always been a master at taking songs that he values and reworking them in a fresh way that works for him. |

I would like to hear Bryan's version of "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics. In the "I can't believe he has not recorded that already" catagory I would like to hear Cole Porter's "I Get a Kick Out of You". ![]() |

Or Joan Armatrding's "Love And Affection". |

Wasn't he chosen to do "Don't You Forget About Me" before simple minds did it. Always thought that would have been interesting. |
