Saw Ferry at the Greek in LA - great show! The musicianship was brilliant - a treat to hear a great array of songs from the Ferry/Roxy catalogue. The question - for years now Ferry has used a music stand - I believe to help with the lyrics, etc. Last night - to my surprise and delight. ... No music stand. I remember I believe he started relying on it on the ATGB tour? Anyone know why he has dropped the practice? Cheers to the great one - just a brilliant show in front of a very appreciative crowd. |

I have no idea what he is doing for lyrics etc, last time I saw his show was in Edinburgh and I was in the VIP seats and they were a complete dissapointment as I was at the other end form the stage and the view was not very good. The only other shows I saw were in Sweden in may but that was a while ago now. Maybe he does have a digiatal screen version. I saw a Peter Gabriel concert at the weekend on TV and he was using one of those. J.O'B. |

yep, he has 3 x screens...one in the middle & 1 at each of his keyboard positions... |

When I was at one of the Forest gigs earlier this year I was right at the front of the stage and couldn't see anything that he could be reading lyrics from? So I was wondering the exactly same thing regarding previously having to be prompted at gigs.... Maybe he just knew all these tracks 'inside out' The only piece of apparatus near him was at floor level. He would he have had to be looking down if he was using it and his eyes were constantly on the crowd ahead when singing and not playing keyboards. Strange eh! Poor you John -VIP seats at Edinbrugh and the stage was at the other end

bf has been using the teleprompt since the roxy uk tour in 2011...he still uses it, so i guess he likes it! |
