I hope they are happy together as the years roll by... Hmmm. I wonder what the pre-nup looks like. That would be a interesting to read... |

Splendid! Congrats Bryan & Amanda! Be sure to stick together. Be slaves of love to each other. Be loving in the midnight hour. Help each other make it through the night. Love her madly Bryan. Amanda, be a nightingale for Bryan. Is it easy to say "I do"? |

Many congratulations to the happy couple. It will be interesting to see what impact if any these new domestic arrangements have on Bryan's work and routine. As David Buckley pointed out in his book "The Thrill Of It All" it was around the time of Bryan's marriage in 1982 that he seemed to tire of the touring lifestyle and the companionship of other musicians, preferring to settle down to a family life. As a result Roxy Music disbanded and the 80s and 90s resulted in long spells of little public activity - few albums released, few tours undertaken. However the past decade has seen by Ferry's standards an almost frenetic work rate, particularly when it comes to live work as, like many others of rock's elder statesmen (Springsteen, McCartney), he realises that, at his age, lengthy gaps between projects is no longer an option. I think we all suspect that last year's Roxy tour was probably their final glorious public swansong as a performing band. Let us hope that their front man still has a few glorious surprises in store for us all yet. |

Was thinking the same thing yesterday. Bryan's tired after all the "frenetic work rate" with the recent album and the Roxy tour. Why not relax with a beautiful young woman for awhile? He deserves it. Don't worry, music is like an addiction. He'll be back. |

Good luck to them. Don't judge. Hope it works....the location of the wedding may enable the prenuptial to stick. Sorry for the cynical quip ![]() |

Am I the only one who squirmed when viewing the wedding photograph - or is everybody else maintaining a diplomatic silence on this? |
