Interesting news! Thanks for posting here, le freak.

Maybe this is the work Phil had mentioned doing with Gilmour, rather than a solo project by either of them?

My personal thoughts reach back to 1994 when I attended the band in Oslo during their Division Bell tour. I remember they said they had a "couple of ideas", indicating the possibility of another album. Through the years I`ve always been surprised that this never did materialize...

Good for PM. This is a major project.

I can understand that there might not be a major tour involved (big logistical headaches for people who already have a lot of $$$). But you would think that a few select shows (such as the RAH) would be a good way to garner a lot of PR for the album.

Maybe something will transpire but it won't be called "a tour"

In the meantime I found several newspaper articles on Pink Floyd's new album, as well in English as in German. But mostly the fact that Phil is supposed to produce their new CD is neglected :(

Today the German news channel/online paper "n-tv" published an article where the reader learned that the guitarist with "Roxy Music" (not "former"!) is due to produce the album together with David Gilmour and a sound engineer which I didn't know. That's what we want to read ;)

Pink Floyd releases third clip from their new album, an edgy, psych sound. But alas, the sensation was ruined by an added 5 minutes outtake from the Division Bell sessions, posted by a certain Peter. Apparently this is the basic track to what we hear on the clip.
