Here's a taster of the forthcoming double CD, which was recorded during the recent mini-tour of Japan:

I don't know if Phil will sell it in his webstore or if it's a Japanese exclusive, but Y4200 is about £28 (or €32 or $38) at current exchange rates.

It kind of knocks a release of Roxy Music Deluxe Edition out of a November release.

I don't think the two releases would clash or compete with each other.

Phil's will be a Japanese exclusive for a while before it reaches his Burning Shed webshop (and I suspect the concluding studio track might be on the Japanese release only).

I'm sure Phil would make himself available for any promotional duties for the Roxy box, although the silence on that score is deafening...

I'd like to see Phil do a UK gig or two to promote his own release, but I think his only scheduled show this winter is somewhere like Buenos Aires.

Interesting that there are I think seven tracks in common with the recent "Live at the Curious........." album. Seems slightly odd, but I like those versions so will listen with interest when it comes out.
What do people think of Sonia Bernado's singing on the Roxy songs? I must say I really like it; it's so different hearing a strong female voice on those numbers. I do struggle a bit with some of the other players and arrangements. Am I right in thinking that a much sparer drum part is used (he seems to bash them fewer times!). So I miss the little drum fills that PT used on LITD (you know.....the ones that change each time).
