Expression Records – EXPCD21 Yes I do have that CD (which I had forgotten about!) - I think it came as some sort of freebie after the Roxy 2001 tour. I saw Phil and this version of 801 at the Birmingham Town Hall back in 1977 (Supertramp were playing at the Odeon on the same night). Phil, TGPT, Bill MacCormack, Dave Skinner and Simon Ainsley. Probably one of Phil's best gigs in IMO, by him or any other guitarist I have seen live for that matter. I think there's also a lot to be said for smaller bands when performing live. |
