To anyone interested in this - and the great cause it is supporting - the single is out in just over a week (18 March) and is available to preorder now. Outlets include Amazon UK:

Thanks for the hint, UKRichard. At the weekend I ordered the CD and I hope that all guitar heroes are listed in the order of appearance. BTW: Although I searched for him I couldn't find Phil on the cover painting, not even behind the sticker ;) .

No, I can't see him either pianoman, which is a shame. Guitarists are listed alphabetically so it's going to make spotting guitarists in some of BF's more complex/convoluted recordings seem like child's play in comparison. But it's a cracking little single with a wonderful, accompanying booklet documenting the history of the music and the evolution of this new recording. Worth every penny and worthy of the charity it is supporting.

PM got on-screen credit for about 8 seconds or so and I couldn't hear anything that said to me - "oh, there he is" - I hope PM didn't invest much time or effort on this because he makes no audible contribution to the track as far as I can tell...

Indeed, Phil is neither visible on the cover nor audible on the disc, even the youtube video cannot reveal his contribution. Très dommage ...

I’m happy to be overruled on this one, but isn’t it Phil’s head (in profile) just to the right of Nile Rodgers (albeit behind the sticker!).

Best wishes all.

The video does name check him when his contribution is featured, however hard it might be to distingush.
Notwithstanding the grumbles, it's a fine piece of music and an exceptionally good cause.
