Can you do a Corporate Gig in a Communist state? Apparently you can! PM's recent gig in Havana was not that much different than what BF has been doing recently for a certain Swiss watch maker. But in Phil's case it was for Cuba's state-controlled cigar industry. Hey, a gig's a gig! And who would turn down a chance to jam a bit with Jack Bruce? Not me...

Here's a clip recently posted on youtube that focuses on how the confab promoted Cuban cigars. There is only a brief visually clip of PM and JB (no audio). But it's enough to document their relationship to the event.

Personally I'm not a big fan of cigars or cigar smoke, but a gig is a gig...

Hmmm. Would BF do Corporate Gig for Cuban Cigars? High-end cigars are certainly the kind of luxury item that BF is well suited to promote. But would he allow himself to be "used" by the Castro Brother's regime. An interesting question... Where does BF the Tory draw the line???

And why would Communist states, Cuban's, corporate gigs etc. bother or interest you? So what if BF is a Tory? who gives a f#@k.
You socialists or Labour voters are all the same, you always go on about freedom of speech...but only if it agrees with what you say.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Back to the music please.

I see no reason why I should regret or feel ashamed of posting my post.

From Day One Roxy et al has been a business enterprise (Make me a deal and make it straight...) and I find it a topic worthy of discussion. If you don't that's your right, but don't expect me to follow your dictates.

Yes, Cuba would not be an appropriate topic of discussion on the board if PM hadn't played a gig promoting Cuban cigars in Havana. But he did and it is.

I don't give a monkey's about any of my heroes' politics, but come on Mr. Rifff, that was an over-reaction to DCJ's light-hearted post, and you've contradicted yourself regarding freedom of speech. BF and Roxy have never courted political standpoints in their music, we all know that, and we all know BF did some stuff for the Homeless last year - which I suggest is more a Labour trait than Tory.
