I have deferred to Stabbs for a review after the weekend of last night's gig, but suffice it to say for now that The Emperor was looking and sounding good.
Similar set list to the previous gig at Surya, although the fact that the shows are getting slightly longer is hopefully a good sign for the future. Mr & Mrs Suggs put in cameo appearances, although forgetting the words to a Roxy classic won't improve anyone's reputation!
Chatting to band members afterwards revealed a desire to record an album and more definite plans for another EP next.
Clive Langer told me that 12th September is earmarked for the next London show, but I neglected to ask where (possibly because my inner selfish git knew that they've all been close to my home so far!
). If that pans out as planned, it will be the band's first weekend gig (I didn't realise until just now that the date falls on a Saturday).
