Hi All,

Was on holiday last week with VH1 on in the background, (not looking at the screen) and heard the start of this song..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUgxZ8_Iiqc

What followed was not the song I was expecting!!

Regards,
Duncan

WTF!
Is that what I think it is!? ITIS riff with or without permission??
I daren't use the plagi****m word....but does BF (as songwriter) know about this? :D Bubble sells more with one song these days (my ill educated guess, admitedly) than BF might in ten years of material....so, go figure!

The intro to MB's "It's a Beautiful Day" certainly resemble PM's guitar riff at the beginning of ITIS but the rest of the song doesn't relate to ITIS.

It's a fairly generic blues/country riff so for BF to claim authorship would, in response, probably bring out a bunch of earlier riffs that sound similar. If BF sued MB (and his co-authors) it would not be a slam-dunk that he would win any considerable judgement. Why bother going down that rabbit hole?

Listeninig to MB on this track makes me appreciate the talents of Rick Astley in performing this type of music. It also made me think of Swing Out Sister.

MB is cloying and annoying...

Mes Amis - Mon Dieu!
Il faut man the barricades - what a sacrilige.
Windswept calls on Hipsters of all persuasions to show solidarity in the face of this naked plagerism. How will we be able to sleep at night with this nonsense going on?
Doudtless our hero raised his left eyebrow and wondered what the world is coming to.
W2 was not so cool - he dropped his talisker down a pair of perfectly good Anderson & Sheppard trousers and his blood is still boiling.
Quel bordel!

Indeed. My sleep patterns are most disrupted. I'm not sure what's worse: the rip off, or the indignity of having someone like Bubble interested in one's work. I just hope this is all a horrible misunderstanding and will go away.
