He would do an electronic version of 'Little Drummer Boy' together with Charles Aznavour. Of course produced by Todd Terje in the style of 'Johnny And Mary'. Why? Because I'd love to hear the result - every year on the radio before Christmas ;-)

I think he did "Silent Night" a few years back in the Vatican.

I seem to recall that Bryan was down to perform 'Silent Night' at the Vatican, but for whatever reason the song was dropped.

I think we have discussed Christmas songs on here before and I stick by 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' as my choice for Bryan to cover. What do others think?

Bryan tends to cover great songs, not dodgy ones. So, the key question might be: what's a great Christmas song?
I like that thing Greg Lake did (and GL has the Crimson and Sinfield link) But surely The Pretenders, 2000 miles, is the one? Fantastic song. And Chrissie loves Bryan, so there's a bit of circularity.

Isn't about time he did some lyrics for this Christmas cracker?

I knew he'd recorded Sleigh Ride. I hadn't until now heard Roxy Music's Christmas Dream.

I believe the only members of Roxy Music who were involved with The Dumbells single were Phil Manzanera and past bass player John Wetton.

I think Phil once mentioned that Andy Mackay was also involved. Recorded after they have too much Christmas cheer, apparently.

Merry Christmas, everybody!

Not directly a Christmas song, but "You Do Something To Me" is used in a Christmas ad by Manor, Switzerland's biggest department store chain:
