For those who may not have seen it, a mimed television performance of Taxi from 1993 has popped up on Youtube at the following link:

I'd never seen this or any other televised performance of Taxi before so it's great to have one in the archive, particularly as it could be used in future as a visual link to the album given that it's the title track. Some interesting choice of garb for the backing singers and BF struggles a little with the miming but this is still a treat to watch. From the same show there's also a mimed performance of I Put A Spell on You but this is less of a find given that it's an almost identical performance to the Top of the Pops one from around the same time:

I love it. I thought it was very good videoesque toss off. It seems he’s got Bowie’s bassist that he keeps cracking wise with. Ahead of his time with one of the Sand Snakes From Game of Thrones on guitar.

Love these, despite the miming.

Gail Ann Dorsey worked with Bryan Ferry in 1992-1993 then being part of Tears For Fears before she worked with Bowie from 1995

I saw her do one of her own shows supporting Deacon Blue in a marquee in a field about 5 miles from my current home back in 1988 when she had just released her album The Corporate World. It was at that show where I met my wife and resulting in me moving to the Highlands 9 months later.

Very interesting story, J.O'B.

I am a fan of Deacon Blue since "Fergus Sings The Blues" and I'm sure you've found your "Chocolate Girl" ;-) My DB favourite, by the way, is "Twist And Shout".

I'm looking forward to my Bryan Ferry open air show next Wednesday in Regensburg (Eastern Bavaria) though the weather forecast is very bad. His set list has been commented rather critically in this forum but More Than This/Oh Yeah/Don't Stop The Dance/Mamouna aren't bad "rookies" even if I've seen the rest last year in Munich ...

The way BF is performing these days is rather "Dylanesque" ;-)
