Philosophical Philanderers,

Let’s hope he doesn’t mean “Let’s Stick Together”.
Windswept is praying that he’ll do something special for TRAH.

With all of the optimism and Kool Aid in the world , there has to be a recognition that we are now nearer the end than the beginning and W2 wants to go out with a bang not a whimper.

Bring on TBFO for TRAH - that has to be our mantra going forward and if there is a financial constraint - we’ll pass the hat around at the end.

Salutations,

Windswept

Just finished his first concert in Cape Town. His voice was okay but I felt it needed more guitar in the mix. He did 24 songs, only 6 solo the rest were Roxy. Don’t have proper access at moment to send set list. Only 3 Avalon songs so America may be disappointed.

Cher Blakey,

Please post the set list ASAP.

Also, were there any special arrangements a la ‘Bitter - Sweet’ etc..

Salutations,

Windswept.

Here is the full set list in the right order

The Main Thing
Slave To Love
Don't Stop The Dance
Ladytron
Out Of The Blue
Oh Yeah!
Casanova
A Waste Land
Windswept
Bete Noire
Zamba
Stronger Through The Years
Bitter Sweet
My Only Love
In Every Dream Home A Heartache
If There Is Something
Re-make/Re-model
More Than This
Avalon
Love Is The Drug
Virginia Plain
Jealous Guy
Let's Stick Together
Editions Of You

There were no special arrangements, Bitter Sweet stuck to the original form. My Only Love was shorter than most live versions. Casanova and IEDHAH were brilliant.
It was basically the same as usual.
Most of the audience only knew the hits, but they appreciated the whole performance.
For me ending with Editions Of You was perfect because I think that was the last song that Roxy played at my first ever concert at the Rainbow Theatre in March 1973.
With me now living in South Africa I think this may well have been my last BF show.
This man has giving me non stop pleasure for the last 47 years.
I really hope that he retires gracefully, his voice is not the same, it would be sad to see him struggle with a performance.
So far he is still a great performer. But I wonder how his voice will last over this long world tour.
