Apologies if this is common knowledge, but Roxy are supporting UK Record Store Day by reissuing Virginia Plain & Pyjamarama together (much as they did in 1977), but as a limited edition 45 rpm vinyl single.
I spoke with one of the independent London stores who confirmed that pressings are usually limited to no more than 500 and that even the bigger participating stores wouldn't expect more than 10 or 20 copies of any item.
It's unclear whether it'll have a picture sleeve (my guess is Kari-Ann again, as in 1977), but it'll presumably have a new catalogue number to reflect its collectable status. It should retail at around £5.
It's on the HMV website, but they won't be able to supply it, according to my indie shop advisor, as they don't support Record Store Day.
More details at
www.recordstoreday.co.uk. If anyone's desperate for a copy and can't get to a participating store, I'm happy to try in London on their behalf (cost price of record plus postage/shipping only).
