A bit off our normal topic I know. Status Quo on BBC red button , nice to see Lucy Wilkins playing the violin. ( yep Quo with violins, it was an acoustic set, and was superb)
Mon Dieu,
Acoustic Quo with violins!
What next? Bay City Rollers at the Opera?
Can somebody please rescue Lucy before it's too late!
a bien tôt,
Windswept
Mais non, Monsieur Windswept - I could watch Status Quo's acoustic tour last Friday for one hour on the web site of a German radio station and it was really great fun listening to them! Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt noticeably enjoyed this gig with female voices, violins and a harmonica player. Not really a Roxy topic, I know - but Lucy Wilkins was fiddling on Friday, too

Cher Pianoman,
One of the great attractions of this hallowed cyber hall is the calibre of it's participants and in that regard, I hold you at the very highest level.
Certainly your breadth of musical appreciation knows no boundaries.
Unfortunately, Windswept is more of a Philistine when it comes to Quo and personally, he'd rather hang himself from the highest tree with one of his best dark blue, silk knitted Charvet ties than listen to a three cord opera from these ne'er do wells.
And he remains desperately worried about Lucy!
a bien tôt,
W
