I can sympathise to an extent. Most artists become more and more obsessed with perfecting their work before releasing it. However, when it does eventually come out, it has very little impact because it's taken so long, it's all a bit stale and only purchased by the hardcore fans. Roxy would have sold bucket loads of the 1972/73 Radio Sessions, or the Newcastle 1974 recording or the Wembley 1975 video. if they had been released at the right time. If it all came out now, I doubt if it would achieve much in the form of sales.

I seem to recall Manzo saying that the '75 Wembley concert is lost. Portions exist but not the entire concert.

The '74 Newcastle concert is Roxy's live zenith. The playing and musicianship is right up there with Springsteen's E Street band and the Stones who were possibly the most revered live artists of the time. Bryan's voice was so strong and the rythm section of TGPT and Wetton is the best that Roxy has had. Andy felt that Newcastle should have been released instead of Viva and he is dead right!

Hi Guys, regarding th DVD of the last tour. Remember how long it took for the last one to come out, "Live at the Apollo". If memory serves me, it was over 12 months.

I would have thought the PT / J.Gustaffson was the best rythm pairing in Roxy. JG came in with some blinding riffs over the three albums that he played on.

I agree that Gustaffson was a fabulous bass player, but John Wetton is the only bass player who the group asked to join as a pemanent member. He declined at the time because he was in high demand as a session player.

I seem to remember the DVD of the reunion tour show from Hammersmith in October 2001 going on sale in May 2002.

Wembley 1975 is not lost. Bryan's got it stored in his studio. It just needs a bit of editing. John, err......maybe you could lean on him and get him to release this one day !

Great news. Did they do She Sells on the '75 tour? Would love to see and hear that.

Thanks John. Helpful as always. Just a correction on your Siren tour page. Roxy never toured the Siren album to Australia/NZ in '75/'76. They only did the last leg of the Country Life tour in April '75.
