This strikes me as something different for BF. He's certainly been interested in The Arts for a long while, but I don't associate him with the culture of Higher Education. He went to university in Manchester and I wonder if people at his alma mater are wondering why he is becoming so prominently involved in a Glasgow project.
But Manchester's loss is Glasgow's gain and I hope the project comes to a happy and successful conclusion!
He was a trustee for The Baltic in Gateshead a few years back. Perhaps the GSA have just caught him at the right time in his life and he can give the time he wants to the project.
