Bryan Ferry has been asked to help raise funds for The Glasgow School of Art. Check today's Glasgow Herald for the article.

This strikes me as something different for BF. He's certainly been interested in The Arts for a long while, but I don't associate him with the culture of Higher Education. He went to university in Manchester and I wonder if people at his alma mater are wondering why he is becoming so prominently involved in a Glasgow project.

But Manchester's loss is Glasgow's gain and I hope the project comes to a happy and successful conclusion!

It certainly was Newcastle ;)

He was a trustee for The Baltic in Gateshead a few years back. Perhaps the GSA have just caught him at the right time in his life and he can give the time he wants to the project.

Me bad. I had a brain cramp! I knew for sure it was some industrial city that wasn't Glasgow!

When you live in the States, all of England north of London has a tendency to coalesce into a big blur... Life in a northern town and all that...

2-4-6-8 Motorway...
