when was the first release of this album on cd?
I know the site says 1999, but were there some other release before that, and that 1999 date is a mistake?

Don't hold me to this, but I think my original copy was released on cd by EG on Island, whereas the later release was on Andy's own label via Phil's Expressionns website (signed copies)

The one and only CD release of this album was on Andy's Riff records released in 2000. It was sold through Phil's site but was never on his Expression label.

Thank you John, all knowlegeable!!!
What threw me was the design; some of the cover details and the cd itself were definitely different when we all rebought it in order to get a signed copy, I know because I've got two of the originals and one signed.

As a post script to tihs thread, I feel such a fool because when I typed about this I was thinking about the wrong album!!!!!
'Resolving Contradictions' had two forms: Expressions Records [EXPCD 5] in 1990 and Riff Records [RIFF CDOO1] in 1999, the latter sold as a limited number of signed copies [along with signed 'ISOER'] from Phil's site.

If anyone is desperately seeking Eddie Riff on CD, eBay currently offers a sealed copy for $39 (about £25-£26) with free postage from South Korea. It's a Buy It Now listing, so you'll need to act fast! Although parts of the far east are notorious for selling copies, this one does look to be a UK original (there are photos in the listing). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANDY-MACKAY-I ... 053wt_1196

As I posted elsewhere, I paid quite a bit for the eddie riff cd. Not as much as the SDE though.
