fellow forumites...

i have seen a few shows on this wonderful tour, and after tonight i am convinced this is our hero's finest hour...

it was a tight, slick set...'can't let go' returned, in the first half after NYC, and everything about the show was fantastic!

the band are tight and comfortable, and BF is positively glowing!!

think i am going to make 2 more on this run of shows...and can't wait!

the way he indulged the band as they vamped the very end of 'editions' was marvellous...hands on hips, shrugging shoulders, smiling, and as they ended it, a final turn to the crowd as if to say 'we are all having a great time'!! so brilliant...

it was a top gig tonight at the cliffs...

I was there last night, the only night I am attending on this tour as have flown back to Geneva today.
It was a great performance. I had my doubts about the mix of jazz and BF but walked away agreeing that it worked. What a superb bunch of musicians the jazz guys are.
Ollie Thompson was wonderful, he just get's better and better and still only 25 yers old.
Bryan was having fun and actually spoke more than I have ever seen him before with quite a long (for him) introduction to Carrickfergus. Too many great moments to highlight any specific. Well done Bryan and the band.
This was probably the last chance I'll get to see Bryan live after 40 years and not missing 1 tour. But on 2nd Dec I'm off to take early retirement in South Africa, so unless he decides to do a couple of concerts down there I just want to say thanks Bryan for all the joy and happiness you have brought to me over the years.

One last point - has anybody noticed that in the Tour book Another Time, Another Place is missing from the page showing all BF and Roxy music catalogue. Any reason or just an error?

Mes Amis,
What a great appreciation!
Our hero is certainly having fun and doesn't he deserve to?
This whole tour has scaled the heights.
In common with many, I've seen the great and the good across the years but nothing compares to this. The level of creativity and musicianship are really a joy.
All the elements are there in spades - great interpretations of songs old and new, restless changing of genres, note perfect band, fabulous visuals and dancers, the atmosphere of the Cotton Club and a costume change to boot.
Elegantly ageing hipsters - this is definitely the gold standard.
Can't wait for Brighton.
Regards,
Windswept
