Another interview with Terje reveals that Bryan also recorded "Addicted to Love". Now that I would love to hear!!

''We had to find the YouTube link when we were in the studio and then I was like, 'Oh yeah, sounds quite good','' the Oslo-based Olsen says with a laugh. ''I hadn't really been that much into Robert Palmer. He did some really good tracks, but I've only listened to the occasional track of his that works for DJs - which aren't that many, really - mainly B-sides and the weird stuff.''

The story gets stranger still. They also ended up recording yet another Palmer song, the mega-hit Addicted To Love. So Ferry and Olsen are Palmer fanatics, then?

''Well, he is!'' howls Olsen, who had met Ferry through the singer's son, Isaac, having also previously remixed some Ferry tracks.

''I just do what he says. I'd never heard that one either!''

Cher Roxy,
As a massive Palmer fan I find this hugely interesting.
I remember well the day Robert died. I was working in NYC and a colleague of mine who knew I'd just bought his album 'Drive', came in and told me the news.
You could have knocked me down with a feather. So sad and when you think he was only 53….
Mind you, he did burn the candle at both ends. He used to smoke and drink like a trooper and evidently was a bon vivieur extrordanaire.
Nonetheless it was still a massive shock.
I also think his lack of legacy is a sad thing. Nobody seems to look after his music. There's no decent website and worst of all, no biography. All a little disappointing when you think of the fabulous contribution he made to modern music. Not to mention that amazing voice.
That said, he was always a musician who was highly rated by other musicians and I'm sure he'd have been blown away by our hero's interpretation.
Regards,
Windswept.

Windswept, It is discussing topics like this that reminds me of the albums I have on vinyl that I don't get a chance to hear due to having no working turntable. I have a few RP albums and saw him in concert in the early 90's. I think he was the only artist I have seen that said less on stage than our Bryan!

He died on Bryan's birthday too :(
