Greetings windswept,
Great minds sir, I would like to think that BF has thought about this too, he hasn't done it yet, but with his eagerness for new and different sounds and arrangements to his songs, going down this route in the future wouldn't surprise me at all. I hope its something on the back burner and I wouldn't rule it out.

In the meantime we have a new album of new songs coming out. So excited for this release.

:)

Cher Helen,
You are a lady of great taste and I'm sure our mutual dream of a 'stripped' album will come to fruition. It's a natural for our hero with his increasingly Satchmoesque voice and his amazing ability to bring great new arrangements. In the interim, as you rightly say, we have
the new album to look forward to. Windswept's excitement cup runeth over.
Regards,

I agree; an acoustic/unplugged album & tour has long been on my BF wish list (it was mentioned in at least one other forum thread last year) and I think it would fit his mature voice like a glove.

He's missed the MTV Unplugged bandwagon by about 20 years, so if he leaves it just a little longer, it'll be almost ready to come back into fashion! Indeed, if BF jumps on the bus early this time, he could claim to have set the pace/trend yet again... ;)

Thank you windswept, its great to be able to share this great taste with like minded people such as your good self.

On another note, I can't seem to find this "stripped" thread anywhere.

I must have slept through that one..... :(

No, I can't find it either, Helen! Must have been buried, off-topic, within another thread (maybe last year's Zermatt gig triggered it?).

I found a thread titled Unplugged Choice (last post on 15.8.11), which is related, but not the one I was looking for (I didn't add my two-penneth to that one!).

Cher Roxy,
Quel travail!
This is exactly the one and I must say that Windswept considers his own proposed track listings as nothing short of prolific (quelle surprise!).
If only we could turn our hero's attention to this perhaps he could do a 'Taxi' for us, interrupt current projects, and just sprinkle some Ferry dust on this one it would be marvellous.
His current rendition of 'More Than This' is perfect for the album.
Regards,
Windswept.
