 Lucky Bryan. And Udo L. (sometimes sober, sometimes not ...) and The Scorpions ("Sssse vvinds of tchange") are the flagships of German music entertainment. So sad he will not meet them

wow, that is pretty tough...

12:00 Tuesday 3rd June 2014.

It is with sincere regret Insidethelight must announce the cancellation of the 2014 Bryan Ferry 'A Life in Voice' award presentations of the 8th and 9th of June, 2014.

Despite many warnings from Insidethelight and continual assurance from Bryan Ferry's management, the orchestral arrangements they were contractually obliged to supply have not arrived with Insidethelight or the Leipziger Symphony Orchestra.

On Tuesday the 27th of May regrettably but understandably the conductor Frank-Michael Erben officially withdrew from the performance because he considered there was then insufficient time left for the LSO to prepare for the shows.

Ticket holders, invited guests and all parties with interest should understand clearly Insidethelight, Frank-Michael Erben, The Leipziger Symphony Orchestra, The Gewandhaus zu Leipzig, and all sponsors and agencies bear no responsibility for this cancellation whatsoever, the circumstances of which were entirely under the control of Bryan Ferry's management.

Ticket buyers should contact their ticket retailers directly for a full refund.

Insidethelight would like to thank all of the agencies and supporters of the 'A Life in Voice' presentation for their dedication, hard work and professionalism over the last twelve months, we can only offer our heart-felt apologies to you and all ticket holders and guests, that we were ultimately prevented from going forward with the shows.

Our authority contact:

Dr Christian Seyfert LL.M. (USA)

Thank you for posting this, Steve. I cannot believe what I read. If missing arrangements should have been the reason for the double concert cancellation including award presentation ceremony, it would be more than embarrassing.

Next question: Will Bryan Ferry's management be able to supply the arrangements for Dublin?

I can imagine your thoughts towards this, Steve, having read that you took 3 days off, booked a hotel etc. Sorry for you.

Wow, that's some serious stuff.... Like so often in life: A says B is to blame, and B says A is to blame... Who knows what really went wrong... Let's see if and what BF's management will reply ...

Elegantly Ageing Hipsters,
C'est un mauvais histoire!
What goes on? Is Dublin in peril?
I think Colin Good may have to come to the rescue!
We await the next instalment with bated breath.
a bien tôt,
Windswept.

Once again directed to J.O.B: this is dark shadow falls on Bryan Ferry and his management there. It is high time to bring light into the darkness here. I have out of annoyance still a thick neck.

All I know about this subject what I have read here.

I don't think it is my place to discuss or make comment on it.

This doesn't directly concern me as I had no intention of going and am not therefore inconvenienced by the cancellation. However, the fallout - some evidence of which can be found elsewhere within these hallowed walls - is of concern.
BF's account does not sit comfortably at all with that of Dr Christian Seyfert and vice versa, so they surely can't both be true? I don't like BF's reputation being besmirched but equally if there is error somewhere in the BF Organisation it would be good to see them upholding the values we associate with our man rather than indulging in a blame game. I may be being naive when one factors in the potential for litigation, but leaving this in a state of stalemate as far as the public is concerned is hardly desirable!
