Like both versions...but always preferred the first rockier version by a long way. Much better vocal, and more rock sleaze.

Yup, it's of course the disco version and it fits perfectly into the movie. You'll understand the of-course part when you watch the movie - it really has to be the disco version here.

The entire soundtrack is beautiful, I also enjoyed listening to Sylvester's Mighty Real again. The music is very beautifully woven into the happy scenes, which are very few, given the movie's sad story. It's very moving, keep a box of Kleenex ready when watching. And it's really well made, excellent actors, script, editing and everything. Also very good to see Matt Bomer in a demanding role that gives him a chance to demonstrate his talent.

Thank God I haven't lost any close friends to AIDS, however some acquaintances of mine died of it, like a fellow student of Philosophy who had suffered of haemophilia.

It's interesting to see some of the political background, before I've watched the movie I had no idea how the Reagan administration had neglected the topic.

Sleaze? I`m no fan of early 70s British glam. I think I prefer the disco version.
