I watched live online and what you saw on the BBC4 broadcast was as it was live, there was no missing banter! Same Old Blues had a technical problem and the online feed was lost for a couple of minutes so was cut from the later BBC4 broadcast. For a festival crowd I thought it was a well chosen set and it seemed to go down well. I understand that we all have different opinions and there is nothing I would have liked more than to have seen Roxy Music on that stage last night but it wasn't and I accept that.

That's what I think too. I really liked the gig and set list; it complements some other set lists nicely imnsho. Like the drumming, guitar, sax/oboe and keys. Glad Colin's gone. But are they as quirky and brilliant as manzo and andy at their best? TGPT? No.... But it was still a compelling sound. And I like the keyboard player's enthusiastic head movement in Dream Home....and Cerisse's enthusiasm during every single bar of the entire gig. PS thought Goldfrapp was v good too.

On further reflection...I'm just pleased the sound is getting rockier again. I have enjoyed the jazz stuff, but I'm glad it's moved on again. And the rockier non-Good arrangements and musical direction are more up my alley.

Boys and Girls, Well, I loved every minute and thought it got better and better with each song, the highlights for me were More Than This - you could hear a pin drop, Dream Home - that creeping organ sounded eerie enough to my ears, I've played that song a million times and it felt like I was hearing it for the first time, which is some praise, and you can't say Stronger Through The Years is "Roxy Lite" - it's not one of my faves but man it sounded great, like meeting up with an old girlfriend who's turned from a 6.5 into a perfect ten. Love to you all.

Hipsters, Don't misunderstand the deliberations of Windswept. Our hero will continue to plough the furrow and I'm certainly not against a little rocking out. My appeal is for more depth of sound. A good example would be the 'Dylanesque' tour. On that one we had Spedding, Thompson and Abrahams with Leo doing some great slide and the effect was spine tingling. The band had real heft! With regard to the departure of Colin, yes I do miss him. His piano and other key boards were at another level and for me, the Good/Ferry partnership was one of the great relationships in modern music. Hopefully he'll return and in the meantime, I'll just retire to a jazz home for the aged. a bien tôt, Windswept. Ps. Madame W thinks I'm just in a mood because the under floor heating wasn't working in the Yurt and she didn't chill the Boli correctly!

Hi Lori, Hola! is a very easy to use little program that can be added to your browser. You don't need to know anything about proxies to use it, all you need to do is install it and it normally functions without any input on your side. There even is a version for the Google Chrome browser, available here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hola-better-internet/gkojfkhlekighikafcpjkiklfbnlmeio?hl=enit takes about two minutes to install this little program and then you should be able to watch the entire concert on the BBC homepage. Why don't you just try and install the Hola! plugin from the link above and when you encounter difficulties come back to us and we help you through the process?
Ps. Madame W thinks I'm just in a mood because the under floor heating wasn't working in the Yurt and she didn't chill the Boli correctly!
Understood. It can be a bitch. Our heating was ok...but the WiFi signal strength let us down from time to time in the marquee. Several drop outs deprived us of at least 50 seconds of streaming.

Love to you all. Exactly my thoughts. MTT (in that wonderful arrangement) and STTY. Seriously good music. We should (& I know we do) feel good that our Bry can still deliver such exceptional stuff: the songs, musically and lyrically, the arrangements, the style, the performance.
