Philisophical Philanderers, All those doubting Thomases will be proved wrong! Windswept is wishing for something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Preferably with Colin on the old joanna, Ollie wielding his axe, lashings of TBFO and our hero front and centre with his whaling harmonica. After the release of his fifteenth solo album, Windswept hopes that Geordie's favourite son finishes his commitments with Roxy Lite (™ DJC), has a damn fine holiday with complete voice rest, vists A&S for a new stage jacket and reassembles the 'A' team for a full UK fandango in 2015. Windswept also hopes that he will also be announcing his biography. It would be such a shame if one of the greatest modern musicians of our life time doesn't tell his story resplendent with style tips! In the interim, he will continue to listen to the 'Tollwood' broadcast with it's peerless versions of 'Chain Reaction', 'Casanova', 'NYC' 'Heaven's Door' and 'Crazy Love'. Reliving the splendour that was AEWBF. a bien tôt, Windswept. PS. W est tout a fait d'accord with Lonely Dreamer's sentiment regarding our hero's retirement. PPS. W wishes Helen well with her ambitions!

My guess is that the Big News relates to the new album. Maybe he'll surprise us like Beyonce and announce its immediate release via I-tunes. Maybe...
I wish it related to a resuscitated Roxy Music but that, sad to say, seems unlikely.
Maybe it relates to deluxe versions of various albums, but unless they are REALLY interesting I can't get too excited...

I would like to read a 400 pages text book plus 200 pages of photos, accompanied by a 30 hour audio book in the style of the BBC radio show that was broadcast last Christmas (with less music and more BF talking).

There will be a big announcement by 'Team BF' 3 days ....
John has us guessing.... It's under the BF banner.. but it could still be a RM surprise. If originally mentioned under the RM banner, that would have been letting the cat out of the sack.
Does "Team BF" mean anything? another name for Roxy Lite (™ DJC)? or really just the term for the BF Management group.
I think the big announcement is the news of a new album and farewell tour in 2015. I wish it was the announcement of a RM album titled, of course, "Tara" (rough english word for farewell/goodbye). It's been quiet on the PM/AM/PT front.. so there is still a little hope..
Whatever, anything (positive) will be welcomed...

A new Bryan Ferry album............hopefully A new Bryan Ferry album to be released before the end of 2014............still possible A new Bryan Ferry tour of the UK in 2015.................or England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland depending on the outcome tomorrow. Retirement? Farewell tour?......................No chance!! Anything Roxy related would be a welcome bonus but seems unlikely.

Agree wholeheartedly with everything Windswept said . I'll add a number 8 - please can I be Bryan's percussionist alongside TGPT on drums ? !

I'm sorry, but I can't watch Cherisse play. She's just to much "Keith Moon" or something in the way she plays. And some if not most of the songs lack that .....something that Paul brought. Take JG for instance, during the whistling bit, it now seems week and lacks clarity. But, Bryan must have heard Paul play that a million times so maybe he just fancied a change. Cherisse and Emily DD are very very similar drummers.

Cherisse is really good but I miss the TGPT "doofs". Not sure if that is a proper technical term but I'm sure you all know what I mean.

@John: thanks for that great news.
@StephenPep:
we talked on the phone a few days ago, my intuition told me there happened yet which is quite surprising, Olympia should be a Roxy album and appeared in the end as a solo album ... and I hope that this time reversed

This roxymania... Colin, Ollie, Cherisse and Jorja are better and much more fun to watch! Anyway, I`m looking forward to the Paris show later in autumn.
