Lady Helen is just tickled pink with excitement dearest, and hopes a UK tour will be announced very soon... :D

Right, I'm confused now, is this the big announcement we were all waiting for that has now been sussed out, or are we still waiting for that next Tuesday?
There are two similar threads on the go here and my tiny brain can't keep up.

:?

I didn't say anything about the quality of the album in terms of music. But I did point out how the title "Avonmore" does bring to mind a melding of Avalon and More Than This. And yes, it does sound to me like a a parody of a BF Album Title.

I gather there is a reason for the name, and apparently it relates to a road in the Olympia section of London. Fine. Great. But it still sounds like a parody...

Roxy, as far as I know it's pronounced "Ay-vun", like the county, river etc.

Helen, I rather suspect this was the big news; if the thunder has been somewhat stolen, Team BF might want to chuck in some UK tour details next Tuesday, however vague the plans may currently be. ;)

Not much on Amazon, other than a suggested release date of 10th November...

Send in the clowns is one of the "readymades"/remakes BF started quite a while back (& I understand it was already special way back then ....though I think the Bollywood twist is new, so the remake has evolved a lot).

IRSNSHO Avonmouth (sic) is no hoax. I'm looking forward to it all very much. Great news.

jpc (Germany) has listed Avondale as CD and LP - release date November 14th. Great news for vinyl enthusiasts.

@ Lonely Dreamer: Very sophisticated posting - probably the first time Goethe has been cited at VRM ;)

To Sanviva:

1: I don`t care about facebook.
2: Ah, after reading your post once again, I see your point; at first; the district (Olympia), then; the street (Avonmore), and finally; the studio (Studio One). Good thinking of you! I`m sorry, -my fault!

To Lonely Dreamer:

I think we only should be glad that this forum ain`t as bland as "Bryan Ferry Forums". However, maybe some people prefer that to this forum. Anyway, the big announcment seems already to be broken.

I've been on Google Maps, cruising up and down Avonmore Road and trying to discern which address/location relates to BF. It looks nice, but not particularly super-upscale (of course London real estate prices being what they are, nothing is cheap in this neighborhood).

There is an Avonmore Hotel that looks rather modest and perhaps it will become a destination of sorts for diehard BF fans...

Good Evening to all fellow Roxyologists and Ferryistas Who post Here in These very sacred and hallowed Cyber Halls of Justice! It's Lori. I would like to share a few thoughts about This very momentous occasion of a new Bryan Ferry Album release! It is about time that this long gestating Album is finally coming to fruition and it's going to get released! However not to rain on any U.K Fan's Parade Here Who with ZERO questions asked deserve as many comprehensive and definitive Tours of all of the U.K. as possible from Bryan Ferry, BUT for the much smaller U.S.A> Fan-Base of which I My-Self occupy, it is about TIME that Bryan Ferry embarks on a comprehensive and definitive Tour of Canada, The U.S.A. and Mexico the 3 Countries that make up the Continent of North America. Bryan does owe Mexico several Make-Up Concerts as pay-back for the ones He had to cancel during the Frantic Tour. After all all of Roxy music's and Bryan Ferry's U.K. fan-base have gotten A bounty full Buffet servings of both throughout the Careers of both. How about being NICE and KIND to share Bryan Ferry with Us long suffering North American Fans Who would like to SEE/HEAR A Good serving of Him before He has to Retire, or God forbid the inevitable happens?
We North American Fans have never got big enough servings of Roxy or Him You know.
Perhaps A bit of sharing the wealth is in order here? Also I think A Good Future Album Title of His just might be " Avalon Island "
A tribute of sorts to the last Roxy Music Album In History, Avalon and paying tribute to the magnificent masterpiece from The Bride Stripped Bare, " This Island Earth. " What say You all?
I also have A nice story that i shared Here however i got No replies or thoughts.
I suppose it was A bad idea.
I do strongly admire and appreciate Bryan Ferry as a profound artist.
There is NO ONE like Him.
" More than This " is a divine Song.
I cannot WAIT to buy Bryan Ferry's New Album, Avonmore!
I love His mesmerising and hypnotic Voice!
Yours truly, Lori.
