The VIP ticket for Blackpool includes a meet and greet with Ken Dodd though. Sound value.

Just curious, but what do you get extra for the VIP ticket? Front row seats, back stage reception, shake hands and get a picture taken, things like this?

The VIP price I saw was on the individual venue website. There is no mention of it on the BF.com information to date. VIP may not mean a "meet & greet" type situation. Those prices certainly don't match up to the meet & greet price on the AEWBF tour at £199. Perhaps it is just a few extras without meeting the man himself. I think there are some venues that do VIP packages without it including meeting the artist concerned. You maybe get pre-show drinks or use of a private bar etc.

That is more or less what the package was on the AEWBF tour last November. Seats in the first 2-3 rows, programme, bag and the other things you listed.

For the first time in my adult life, I may let this one go. The ticket prices are steep, it won't be the same as AEWBF, no JAZZ age to play off, I have not heard the album and I don' t know the band. I've alreadybseen Ferry three times at the RAH. So, guys, sell it to me, please.... so that I'll be at my keyboard on Wednesday.

2 Comments re a tour I won't be able to attend:
20 gigs in a month! Whew, that is a heavy load for any performer, much less someone in sight of a 70th birthday. I hope it all goes well, but that's asking a lot of BF's vocal chords!
After seeing BF in concert last weekend, I can see why it would be worth expending some significant $$$ and have a few minutes to observe him up close in a "Meet & Greet" - It would have to involve at least handshake and a modicum of verbal back-and-forth, but I would find it interesting to actually interact with him, even if only for a few minutes. Dinner at a nice restaurant with a significant other can easily exceed $100 (and that's not counting liquid refreshments from the bar...) So paying $300 for a chance to interact directly with BF, if only for a short time, doesn't seem so unreasonable...
Of course my significant other might think I'm crazy, but she has spent far more than that getting professional photos taken of our Canine Companions so she could be placated...

So no meet and greet with BF And does it mean that if you don't want a VIP ticket, you don't get a seat in first 4 rows? And what kind of tickets can we get in the presale?

This is certainly the most wonderful news! I can see London, Brighton and Cambridge on my list. We can also expect a nice lavish program! The nice thick ones since The 'For Your Pleasure Tour' have been a real treat!

One thing you may consider is that the musicians have yet to be announcement and I'm sure that our hero will be painfully aware that any UK tour will be compared with the unadulterated splendour that was AEWBF. With that in mind and given his life long attention to quality, it wouldn't surprise me if we see a new show for the UK leg. Furthermore, he does tend to give it full throttle on home turf and without wanting to encroach on DJC's mantle as vivaROXMusic.com's financial analyst, I think the cost of going stateside with TBFO was just too prohibitive. Don't miss out would be Windswept's message to you and if you make it to Brighton he'll buy you a drink (Windswept that is — not Bryan - although if history repeats itself, he might as well!) Go for it — you know it makes sense. a bien tôt, Windswept
