That's a line up I would love to see with Bryan again. Sadly Mick Green is no longer with us but he was great on the Frantic tour with a smile that lit up the room in Manchester. Aww bless x
Philosophical Philanderers,
Thank God Ian posted this one. Windswept needed a pick me up after viewing this year's Baloise Session.
Queen Helen is correct, what an outfit this gang were!
Absolutely fabulous in every regard.
Great rhythm section - TGPT and the dear departed Mark Smith - say no more.
Amazing guitars with the late, great Mick Green sharing lead and rhythm with the incomparable Chris Spedding. Zero ego here. Just two magicians at the top of their game — look at them smiling at each other during 'BEB', they know they've got it nailed and both of them playing slide — the joint was rocking and it just completely shivers W2's timbers.
Great strings, horns and backing vocals with fabulous arrangements all of course mastered with the absolute finest keyboards and musical direction from the maestro, Colin Good.
Reliving this gig, which W2 saw live in a couple of incarnations, has restored his faith in Roxology.
Frankly it is typical of the standards built upon until AEWBF and our hero needs to get back to it once he's rested his voice — this is what you call a band!
Salutations,
W2
