Sadly, it seems that BF & his family will be among those suffering a traumatic Christmas. I'm sure everyone here will keep their fingers crossed that there's a positive outcome for Merlin and those close to him.

Just a pity that the otherwise informative report felt the need to unnecessarily mention BF's marital history and the fact that Merlin & Otis have had brushes with the law. But, hey, it's the Daily Mail, so let's not expect a seasonal miracle... :(

As a parent, I can only imagine what Bryan, his first wife and Merlin's brothers are going through. It is news that you would never want to receive.

I hope that Merlin has a speedy recovery and my thoughts are with him and his family over the Xmas period.

What a horrible accident. I hope and pray he's going to be allright.

Is the weather in England as stormy as it is currently in the north of Germany? There have been a couple of head-on collisions here because very strong wind gusts have pushed cars into the opposing traffic.

Anyway, my prayers are with him, his parents and the entire family.

As a father of 3 myself this is any parents worst nightmare and I pray that the whole family come through this and that Merlin has a full and speedy recovery.

I lost a son 10 years ago. Although i have other children the pain never goes away. So, I can only sympathize with The Great Man. The parental bond never ever goes away. And I'm sure all of us feel the same about the families in Scotland who lost loved ones this week. One poor woman lost her daughter and her parents. Life is just too cruel sometime.

I'm so sorry for your loss Ian.

I am sure we as a Roxy family are all thinking of Merlin, his parents and all his family and hope he makes a good recovery.

I have also been thinking of the Glasgow families who have been affected by the recent event. Take care everyone.

My thoughts are with Bryan and his family at this difficult time and I pray for his son's complete recovery.
This is every parent's nightmare and we can only hope and pray that Merlin recuperates well. At this time of year above all others, we can have faith.
God speed.

As it has gone quiet on the news about Merlin, let's hope that no news is good news. Thinking of Bryan and all the family at this tough time.
