Hi guys,

happy new year to you, too. I had started a Happy New Year thread in the general forum, but never mind, you can't have enough of these threads ;)

Cher Roxy,
Thanks for the great card. Windswept wishes you the finest of years.
This shot was clearly taken when they were between bass players (anytime over the last 42 years) and acts as a salient reminder that our hero is not the only sartorial wizard in the band - Andy looks mega cool as he does to this very day. Paul just looks relieved to be out of the leotard!
Something that W2 hadn't realised was that Monsieur Mackay had had an operation on his arm that prohibited him playing for a while. Evidently all is now well so lets hope those Metaphors hit the road again in 2015.
Salutations,
Windswept

Thanks you Windswept! Sal Maida was the bass player at the time, he and Eddie Jobson are in other versions from that photo session.

Cher Roxy,
Your archives amaze me - we are so lucky to have you!
That said, when I look at the shot including Sal and Eddie I'm convinced they were left off the Christmas Card because of their extremely dodgy baronets!
Salutations,
Windswept
