Good Evening to all Fellow Roxyologists and Ferryistas! It's Lori! I am Here to make A most enjoyable announcement! I had the most wonderful Merry Ferry Christmas And New Year's Holidays! As I received A Bank Gift-Card from Work for Christmas with $150.00 on it! I used A portion of this to order from Amazon.com U.S.A. The following Ferry Presents! I will list The Christmas Presents First!
1. Bryan Ferry's Olympia Album CD The Special Edition One with the 2 Extra Song Tracks and The Making Of The Olympia Album/CD Documentary DVD. ( Too Bad The Deluxe Collector's Editiion with the Extra CD is No longer available, That is the Version I really wanted. )
2. Bryan Ferry's Dylanesque Album/CD.
3. Bryan Ferry's Dylanesque The London Sessions DVD.
Now for The New Year's Presents!
1. Bryan Ferry's Boys And Girls Album/CD.
2. Bryan Ferry's Bete Nior Album/CD.
3. Bryan Ferry's Bete Nior DVD.
I had A very Merry Ferry Time with all of these! I watched Half of the Bete Noir DVD on This past Friday Night. On Saturday Afternoon I watched the other half. On This past Sunday Night after Dinner I watched The Dylanesque DVD.
I also own A Copy of Bryan Ferry Live in Lyon DVD. The DVD only Version as i did not have the MONEY to purchase/obtain The Special edition Version with the Live CD and the Special Book, which was the Version I REALLY wanted.
I must make A comment on The Bete Noir DVD. WOW! Bryan is a really intelligent and Creative and Articulate Artist. A True MASTER CRAFTSMAN. Who else but Him at the somewhat tender Age of 43 to THINK about using Nimrod's Theme to set the Audience Up for the Concert! What A way to give the Audience a prep for what was to come! A Foreboding and Haunting Feeling. A Emotional ominousness! With Eerie Dread.
Like A gathering Storm that would over take and over power The Audience. Boy did He ever!
I was in pure joy with what I have so far! I want all of the B.F. I can handle! There are so many masterpieces on both The Boys And Girls Album/CD and The Bete Noir Album/CD that do require A thorough and complete analytical Study. These are The yardstick by which ALL Elite Music should be judged By.
There will NEVER be another like Him in This Life-Time. Maybe for FOREVER.
I Admire and Appreciate this mans Talent and His Craft so much.
I also LOVE His level of commitment to His Craft.
I also have a very BAD Crush on Him! I am only 45 Years Old My-Self!
He's just so Handsome and Attractive. A very Gorgeous Man.
Love to all Who come to share Topics and Thoughts in These Cyber Halls of Justice
Lori.

Hi Lori,

You are not missing much with the Olympia remixes cd, I find the tracks very dull; they don't have any Ferry input and it shows.
I could have done a better job with an old fashioned hi-fi and a cassette recorder, although I can't download my home-made 1975 casssette with the 3 minute intro to Love is the Drug to prove it - 3 minutes re-re-repeating the footsteps walking to the car, now that was creative tension!!

Belated happy New Year.

The three disc Olympia boxed set is still available, although perhaps not in the USA...

There are new copies offered by sellers on Amazon in the UK for under £15 (about $22); I don't know how much they'd charge for shipping to North America, but the grand total would be well below the set's original selling price of £50 (about $75). I reckon about $50 in total.

I had a spare sealed copy, but there were no takers when I offered it here late last year, so I sold it on eBay (worth checking there too); I think it cost me about £18 ($27) to ship it to the USA by airmail.

Good for you Lori! Happy New Year to you too.

Sounds like you're enjoying your goodies!

Don't mind the whiners. Just crank your speakers & enjoy!
