Oscar, I read in a recent interview with Bryan that Roxy didn't have time to rehearse any new songs because of the time he spent getting Olympia sorted for release. Burt he reckons they should have 6 new ones ready for next year's tour !

I read that too. It was an interview with Ferry in The Sun last Friday. Great news isn't it. The Sun also gave his new album 5 out of 5. Superb.

Are they new songs or old songs? How could old songs take such a long time? If it`s new songs, then his "writer`s block" is no longer there.

From 16th July:- REUNITED Roxy Music hit the comeback trail with a bang for a full seven-date UK tour next year.
The For Your Pleasure jaunt kicks off in Newcastle on January 25 and concludes at London’s 02 Arena on February 7.
Saxophonist Andy Mackay, 63, told me: “We’re planning to play a few more obscure Roxy tracks that we maybe haven’t attempted in decades.” planning to..........................

ok Ian, if news are true, new songs rehearsed for the UK tour ,we must be happy about it.., The band have to do an effort and make changes in the set list...you can see Bruce springsteen or Bob dylan set list and they hardly repeat such a few songs from one to another gig, and give real surprises, unexpected, to the fans ,maybe that's the reason because their fans are always satisfafied and go again and again to see them play live. I wish Roxy do it too!!

I was thinking of Bryan`s new album. How couldn`t he have time to rehearse more Roxy songs if he was releasing an album of more or less existing songs? This is a real "anorak" question that many would ignore, especially Bryan hemself, methinks...
