I just found out that there's a programm "Roxy Music in concert" tomorrow morning 07:00h on the German tv channel 3Sat. But there's no further information available, at least I didn't find anything. So maybe it's just the zillionth rerun of the Frejus concert. The wishful-thinking part of me hopes it's a rerun of the RockPop in concert show from 03.01.1981. That would be a really good way to start the new year! We'll see. I hope my recorder works.

P.S.: and it's only 30 minutes

Half an hour would be the right length for the short French TV broadcast of part of the Paris 1980 show (Flesh & Blood tour).

I can't immediately recall any other Roxy broadcasts which were that short; will be interested to learn in due course which one it was.

Still waiting for the hq version of the recording to be ready for download.

So I've got my hq recording now. It's actually better quality than everything I've found on youtube by now. But still far from perfect.

First of all, it's mono, because obviously stereo broadcasting wasn't introduced at the ZDF before September 1981, so bad luck there. But despite of being mono it's still very good sound quality. The demuxed audio track is an mp3 @ 192kbps.

The picture quality is still far from perfect. The end titles say it's from 1994, so I'm not sure if the lousy picture quality is due to the digitalisation process that was applied to the material in 1994, or if the original recording quality was really so low. I'm guessing that the low quality is the reason why the show is not available on 3Sat's website (at the "mediathek").

Of course I'm happy to share my preciousssss with the members of this hallowed cyber hall.
