From an interview with Boston Public Radio this week: Jim Sullivan: It’s a question that must be asked: Will there be another Roxy Music reunion or is that by the boards?
Bryan Ferry: It’s by the boards, but I still have cordial relations with [drummer] Paul Thompson and [saxophonist] Andy Mackay, who I sometimes see. Brian Eno [who was in early Roxy] and I text one another. But as far as any plans to work [together] …...and what about Phil? Are things really that dire? EERO: I also noted the PM omission in the interview. Who knows what it means. Perhaps it was by happenstance or perhaps BF purposefully chose to ignore PM in his response. One thing is clear, BF seems to hold little interest in Roxy except as something he can recreate in his "new" band.
Sad to say, BF's love/hate relationship with Roxy will likely never be explained to the satisfaction of fans that aren't privy to BF's inner circle. And anyone in the inner circle is likely bound by "contractual "nondisclosure" agreements to never publicly discuss such topics... Sigh...

It's a money thing, the 'new band' costs less!
Yet everyone still loves him?

It's all down to how Ferry treated them all in the studio in the 80's!
Surprised those that do still do communicate?

I remember Phil saying years ago that his idea of being in a band was the camaraderie, and making long lasting friendships Even when Eno was booted out, Phil, Andy and Paul all kept in touch and even recorded together. Phils older brother was friends with Dave Gilmour in the 60s and that's how Phil met him. And that friendship is still there today. In fact, Dave Gilmore and Robert Wyatt were both at Phils wedding. The 2011 Roxy tour was the final nail in the Roxy coffin. Bryan changed his mind about the Roxy sessions being released and an extra guitarist and sax player were drafted in for the tour ? Why ?

In addition, Roxy last released any new stuff 34 years ago. Seriously, is it a viable proposition to record again ?

And he seems to be showing little or no interest in the release of the deluxe edition that we've been waiting for since just before WW1 !

He says he has "cordial relationships" with Paul and Andy. Hardly gushing, is it? I'm on cordial terms with my postman...
