I have been in the Ferry cupboard again..........

An old VHS Electronic Press Kit to promote Bryan Ferry's Mamouna album in1994. Interviews with Bryan Ferry, guitarist David Williams, drummer Steve Ferrone and producer Robin Trower. Also seen is some rare studio footage of Bryan at the piano doing a piano & vocal version of The Only Face & Mamouna.

Sorry guys....it seems to be working okay for a lot of other people. I find that it depends what device you are viewing from, that can make a difference.

Yip, usually because of the copyrighted music clips included. This is one my favourite BF video pieces though - very arty - and the EPK is one of the jewels in my collection. It was broadcast several times late at night on ITV in the mid-90's w/the Your Painted Smile edited into the interview footage.

I'm sorry Rendezvous........maybe you could try viewing from elsewhere.......Pinot sounds great but I prefer carrot cake.

There have been videos which I can't play on all my devices, and without music so can't always be down to copyright. When I uploaded the Mamouna Doc to YT I stopped it right at the end of the interviews, before the video of Your Painted Smile as I was worried how that would work. YPS is available on YT anyway so I thought it wouldn't matter too much.

This was very interesting. All Ferry is good Ferry, but Mamouna is, for me, his most original, personal album. While Avalon had a perfect balance between being commercial and yet artistically brilliant, Mamouna was perhaps too sophisticated to reach a broad audience. I attended three shows in Tokyo after itś release; as far as I remember, only Mamouna was played from the album. And then he started the Frantic tour with My only face - à la Ferry!
