Nighthawks.....hauntingly beautiful and melancholic, so I would choose The Only Face. The Cuban reference makes it less so.

And the fact it's obviously an American scene means the obvious choice of A Song For Europe is superfluous, but hey, who can resist that opening line when you feel the mood of this wonderful painting?
